This is a blog site that hopefully will cover much ground. First and foremost, I will discuss sports. In the past, I wrote summaries and gave opinion on topics for The Sportswriters on TV show that aired on SportsChannel and Fox Sports Net from 1990 through the end of the show in 1998. I also wrote questions for the interview show The Back Table with Chet Coppock. I am a die hard alumni of Northwestern University; especially football. My passions run deep as my hatreds show. The greatest day I spent on this planet (outside of family “dates:” marriage, births, etc.) was September 2, 1995, when Northwestern defeated Notre Dame in front of Touchdown Jesus and his acolytes 17-15. After the shows went off, I wrote for two web sites: IndignantOnline.com, and ChicagoSportsReview.com as well as FoxSports.net. Favorites are pro football, hockey, and baseball.

But we won’t just talk sports. This site will cover film, music, comic books, and all things pop culture. While I do enjoy the highbrow art movies like those shown at the Toronto International Film Festival every year; I also love James Bond, The Marx Brothers and horror movies. I will be covering the gamut of great music, from Beethoven to Graham Parker, Elvis Costello, Joe Jackson, Bruce Springsteen to Parliament/Funkadelic to Dexter Gordon and Charlie Parker. And I love comic books, and I don’t give a damn who knows it.

Finally, I will occasionally touch upon politics and current events. Let there be little doubt, your friend and humble narrator is a bona-fide liberal, and proud of it. I still have not been able to reach my goal, which is either have that skinny, blonde fascist call me a “traitor,” or have the sitting Vice President of the United States tell me to “go F@#k myself.” But there’s still time and hope springs eternal.
